BFF's Part II

So a couple posts ago I introduced you to MacKenzie's new best friend Jaylee AKA Sassy.

Well today Sassy's sister Jordynn came over to play with Tyla and they are seriously the cutest 5 year olds I have ever seen! They our " My Baby Dolls" I love them so much and they had a blast together!

Jordynn begged to put one of Tyla's outfits on so they could match! It was so funny!

Like I said before....something tells me there will be more to see of these girls

Cheer Competition

MacKenzie had her first Cheer Competition this past weekend and as always she performed great! MacKenzie had a great day, but the only sad thing is she doesn't have close friends in her group. Something she is not use to. I promised her it will get better.

I don't have great pictures because I got chewed out by a security guard for using my flash! For Rude!

Give A Day Earn A Day!

We have always taught MacKenzie the importance of putting other people first who are in need and to donate and do service work and I really think it has paid off. MacKenzie has such a good heart when it comes to helping others. She will ask to clean out her clothes and toys and drop them off at a shelter for poor kids (her words). Christmas time we always help needy families out and it is such a great feeling. MacKenzie is constantly begging to send care packages to our troops and she always tells me that even just a box of gum or some soap would help them out so much! I love how much she cares and that she reminds me the importance of helping others.

When I heard of this volunteer program that Disneyland is offering I thought this is right up our ally! We love to help and we are seriously obsessed with Disneyland! So I looked into it and it was super cool!

That's right! Jeff and I took Kenzi and volunteered at A New Leaf for a few hours and each of us earned a free ticket to Disneyland! There is nothing better then doing community service and teaching our kids about service work and then to get a free ticket to Disneyland is such an awesome reward! We were most likely going to Disneyland regardless of the volunteer program, but now we can go and have a good feeling that we did something to earn this ticket!

The New Leaf was a humbling experience. We got a tour of these tiny tiny rooms these families live in with one bed and pretty much nothing else. We got to meet these families and help them find clothes for them that we had sorted out that day. They had only ten minutes to go in this tiny room and hopefully find some clothes that fit. One lady came back and said these sweats didn't fit my baby and they told her maybe next time. Sorry! It broke my heart!

That's our experience and now I can't wait to go to the happiest place on earth!

BFF's!!!

MacKenzie loves her new best friend Sassy so much! Sassy just moved in our neighborhood and these girls found each other at school a couple weeks ago and now are inseparable! They are so much alike it is scary! Sassy came over today after school and MacKenzie noticed they had the same shirts, but in different colors! I thought I would snap a few shots of these two Divas! Something tells me there will be many more pictures of these two girls!

Hope I have enough Determination

So I went to the gym today and realized how out of shape I really am! I ran 5 minutes and thought I was going to die! Yep, this is pretty embarrassing! I already want to give up....I know I am such a wimp! So I ran intervals and when I was finished I went to wash my hands before picking up Ryker in the daycare and I looked in the mirror and my face was as red as my kitchen walls! I looked like I was going to die!

Oh and is it bad that when I am running I can feel all my flabby fat jiggle?? Also the ear wax that just sweats right out of my ears! How about the size 9 1/2 feet that get in my way?

I have such a long way to go any advice is very much appreciated, if not just wish me luck!

A girl can dream right?

9 Months

Ryker is already 9 months! Crazy! He is always smiling, he loves his Sissy Kenzi and he turns the other way when Tyla comes toward him (poor guy).He is a Mama's Boy even though he says "dada" all the time! He has been crawling for 3 months now and he is really fast! He pulls himself up to everything especially my legs which sometimes drives me a bit crazy! He just started walking around things holding on. He can now imitate really well especially clapping hands. He is a smart little boy and will be walking before we know it! It is so much fun to have a boy in the house to balance things out. I can't wait to take him to the Cubs Spring Training Games coming up! I am finally getting a schedule down and have adjusted to the third child (if that makes sense)it has been hard for me to bounce back this time around, but I finally feel that I have figured out how to have balance with 3 kids. I finally have it down and I am having so much fun being home with all my kids....I am so lucky!

I want to Win!!!!

I have had some people ask who took my family pictures so I thought I would share! My friend Connie did me a huge favor and took our family pictures last minute before Christmas and she got them back to me so fast! She is awesome. Check her out here! She is giving away a free photo shoot and I want one so bad to fill up my empty walls with her great portraits. I hope I win! To see more go here.

Breakfast Anyone?

The other morning around 4:00 AM I woke up to a horrible strong smell of smoke, I immediately jumped out of bed and so did Jeff. We thought our house was on fire! We went to the kitchen and there was Tyla standing in the kitchen looking up at the microwave I opened it and there was her waffle all shriveled up and completely black! Who knows how long she cooked that thing for and why she chose the microwave over the toaster? Needless to say I think I learned my lesson and when Tyla comes in my room every morning and asks for breakfast I will most likely stumble out of bed and make it for her even if is four in the morning!

As I am typing I just look down at this cute guy
and I notice he is choking! Yes Choking! I just had to stick my fingers all the way to the back of his throat and pull out a leaf! I can't keep our floor clean no matter how hard I try!

Please don't turn me into CPS because I go back to bed after Tyla wakes up every morning and because I am selfish and blog daily while I should be taking care of my little guy!

I am ready for the weekend!

MY "personal" New Years Resolution

Is Running!
There is something about running that has always fascinated me. I don't know why, but it has. I don't think running is for everyone and I know it takes DEDICATION and COMMITMENT and I hope I can find the time to do this because I really want to. I started running a couple months ago and then my kids kept getting sick, then my gym closed down, then I switched to a new gym and hated that gym so then I decided to run in the mornings or at night when Jeff was home, but then I was too tired by the end of the day and mornings I was tired with being up with Ryker all night and having Tyla up every morning at 4:00 AM. Then Ryker kept getting sick from the daycare at the gym. (I am a germ freak)so I was running here and there and I realized that if you want to run you have to stick with it and it doesn't work to just run here and there!

So I have pretty much used and found every excuse to get out of running so hear I am back at square one starting all over again, and I truthfully don't think I could even run a mile right now without feeling like I am going to die!

I am getting my gym membership at my favorite gym (24 hour)and I am going to get over my germ fear and bring Ryker to their daycare!

Wish me the best of luck because I really need it!

Temple Lights

The kids were going crazy in the house last night and Jeff was still at work so I decided to take them to look at temple lights since we hadn't made it there yet. It was fun to just walk around and was so peaceful. It was the last night for the lights to be up (I think) and it was easy to find parking and not very crowded. Then we headed off to El Charro but sadly they were closed so then we went to Matta's and they were closed too! I was disappointed.

Now time to take the tree down!I am ready for some normalcy around here....if that even exists.

I feel so blessed sitting back and looking at this past year. We got our precious baby boy who brings so much joy and smiles to the family. Tyla has come so far with all her therapies and in school. MacKenzie is such a great helper and does her very best in school and cheer. She chose to get baptized and loves going to church and is now in achievement days with me! I have this amazing husband who works around the clock to provide for us and make sure we get to go do fun things. We are so blessed that he has been in real estate for so many years and has survived this crazy market. I am thankful for the other hat my husband wears working for Allen Companies, they have taken him in and let him be a part of their team and it has helped our family out so much. I am so thankful to get to stay home with my kids and not have a 8 to 5 job with 3 kids. I am grateful for our health and hope to have the family even more healthier this year.

Good bye 2009 Hello 2010! It is going to be a great year!

I wish everyone a Happy Healthy New Year!

The Word.......ACTIVE

Last year I started participating in "One Little Word" for my new years resolution. I loved it because I usually have a long list and then life catches up with me and realize I don't have time to do all those goals. This is the word I chose for last year. I feel good about accomplishing this goal. I had two huge yard sales to help me get organized. We added on a room to our house for MacKenzie which really helped me organize the kids clothes and toys and gave me alot more room. I made files for all the kids stuff and for all Tyla's therapy papers. Mission accomplished!

This year I want to pick a word that is more fun and one that involves my kids and Jeff. The word I pick for this year is ACTIVE! I like this word because it mean so many different things such as church, school, community, excercise....

My main focus will be to get outdoors and do more active things with my family such as family walks, hiking or bike rides. I want to continue to walk the kids to school, go to the zoo, swim all summer and play outside. Hopefully do some fun camping trips and playing on the beach!

I feel like when I was a kid that I lived outside playing with neighbors, riding bikes, playing basketball with my brothers. Now there is so much video games and TV shows that get in the way of enjoying the outdoors.

So there you have it. I hope to do some fun ACTIVE things this year with the family. I will keep you posted!

What is your One Little Word?
