Today we had Tyla's Birthday party! We had all her favorite things she requested. PINK cupcakes, yellow chips (lays potato chips)and turkey (sandwiches from sprouts...soo amazingly good)

"Fancy Lady" Turns 6!!!

Today this sweet girl turns SIX!!!
I am a believer that birthday's are a very special day and for that day it should be all about them! Doesn't have to be fancy or extravagant but just make that person feel EXTRA special that day!

A tradition we do in our family is breakfast in bed

Tyla has her routine and rather eat at the counter on her bar stool. I made her her favorite Buckwheat waffles with peanut butter and sliced bananas with grape juice on our "you are special today" plate.

Then Jeff came home during Ryker's nap time so I could go eat lunch with Tyla at school (thanks babe).

I walk into the office and tell the ladies that I am here to eat lunch with my birthday girl and I tell them her name and they say "oh you are here to see fancy lady" I said yeah I guess. Tyla was so excited to see me and thought it was so cool to eat lunch with Mommy! she was smiling from ear to ear!


Then we were off to recess and the playground aides saw Tyla coming and they yelled "you are so cute today Fancy Lady!" She told them it was her birthday and she is SIX! They gave her a grabber!

I was so happy to watch Tyla in her classroom and talk to her teachers. She is doing great and everybody knows her and even gave her a nickname FANCY LADY... I think it totally fits her!

Then when Tyla came home from school all hot and sweaty from her bus ride, we jumped in the pool to cool down. Tyla loves to swim.

Then it ended with making Tyla's favorite...Pepporoni Pizza for dinner and brownies for dessert!


Would you believe me if I told you she ate this entire pizza? You betcha she did...every piece down to the last crumb!


Happy Birthday Tyla! You deserve nothing but the best! Hugs and Kisses! We love you!

How bout these watermelons?!

I am so lame for only taking a picture of this watermelon from our garden. We got so much out of our garden this year like, Squash, red peppers, green peppers, jalapenos, corn, all types of tomatoes, , tons of cantelope, and tons of huge watermelons!
I think we did a great job for our first time.

Can't wait to plant more!

It's all good!

After all the tears, dried out contacts, and anxiety attacks I am finally relieved! Both the girls are loving school! They wake up each morning, do their chores, eat breakfast and can't wait to get ready for school! Sometimes I think the whole going to school thing is harder on the Mommy's then the kids. I still have concerns, but for right now it is all good!!

Back to School

First grade!

Tyla wanted to keep her same cupcake backpack (score!)so I threw it in the wash and wrote her name on it and she was as happy as can be! She loves cupcakes!

This is the crew that will all be walking to and from school together! So fun!

Can you believe Kenzi and sassy are going to be in the same class?! (I hope they don't get sick of each other!) They are like Sister's you know!

This time last year was a little different then today. Today I woke up so sick to my stomach I literally couldn't move. I was so worried about Tyla's first day of school. This year Tyla will be going to a new school (Field Elementary)with new teachers, new bus drivers, new peers and over triple the size class she was in last year. I don't know how she will handle it, what will be going on inside her head. The worst part is that she can't come home and verbally express her feelings and tell me how her day went. Will her teachers "get her" will the curriculum be way over her head? We did meet her new teacher and I really liked her off the bat and have such a good feeling about her! Tyla was so excited to go back to school today and that made me feel good! She loves school and loves to learn! I hope her sweet contagious smile will win over her teachers and new friends today! I will be standing on the curb in this heat today waiting for that bus to drop her off!

After Tyla left, I put Ryker in the stroller and Kenzi grabbed her backpack and we started walking to school. We stopped by Sassy's house to meet the crew! Kenzi was so excited for school to start. She told me last night that it was going to be the best year ever and she is going to do her very best! She is smart and positive! MacKenzie got Mrs Young this year who just happened to be Jeff's first grade teacher! Mrs Young is so sweet and I can already tell how great she is going to be!

I really feel it is going to be a great year! I can't wait for the kids to get home today to hear all about it and see big smiles on their faces!

Today I received a special gift from my hubs and when I asked him what it was for he said "just because"
