I love this

"My Wish for You in 2011 - May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips. May happiness slap you across the face and... may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! Happy New Year!!"

Our Christmas

This year was a calm Christmas. I loved every minute of it! Christmas Eve we went to Jeff's parents for an early dinner and then came home opened our new PJ's and just hung out! Christmas morning the kids woke up around 6:30 (even Tyla!). We opened presents and Jeff cooked an amazing Christmas breakfast while I opened all the kids toys out of the packages. We lounged around most of the day and ended the day with dinner at my parents. Kenzi and Tyla loved all their squinkies they got and have been playing with them non stop! Kenzi was so surprised with her ipod touch that she has been asking for the past 2 years and Ryker was spoiled with Thomas the train and Toy story toys! we must have been so good this year because Santa spoiled us silly!

New PINK scooter for Tyla! Yay!

Tyla is in love with her new Justin Bieber Jacket!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I am so thankful for the quality time I had to spend with my family this Holiday.

Date Night

This man drives me crazy! In so many different ways. He is a "workaholic". Our kids have been so sick lately and I haven't been able to go anywhere (I think I forgot how to workout). I have been feeling like a single Mom times 10! Seriously. The other night we had Jeff's Remax dinner Christmas Party and I was so excited to get out of my house! I made special babysitting arrangements, picked out a cute outfit and even washed my hair! We got there, ordered dinner, got our dinner and then my hubby got an emergency call for work and we had to leave...I was so hungry for that fat juicy steak (cooked medium) sitting right in front of me! Ugh....

Anyways, my husband obviously knew I was mad (yes, I wear my heart on my sleeve)so the next day my hubby called me from work and told me the kids are spending the night at his parents house and we are going out! I had butterflies in my stomach. I love my alone time with him! He even came home with a dozen of roses for me! It was a great night. I know my husband is gone all the time and it totally sucks. Sometimes I feel like we should be billionaires because of how much he works for every dollar he gets, but I am truly thankful (beyond thankful)for how hard my husband works to provide for our family.

Santa

A couple weeks ago our neighborhood did our annual breakfast with Santa. I wasn't sure how Ryker was going to do with Santa, but he loved him!

I always wanted a Sister.
I am so happy Kenzi and Tyla have each other. They have such an amazing bond and have learned so much from each other in such different ways.

Cheer Time!

This was the "Parent Performence" one week before our first cheer competition of the season.

Ryker had a ball running around the gym doing flips and jumping on the mats!
Kenzi with very proud Parents!
Nana and Papa are so supportive!

1st Grade Field Trip

This past Friday Tyla's class went on a field trip to the zoo. I was lucky enough to meet them there and stay for a couple hours until I had to go pick up Ryker. It was so much fun! Tyla was so proud to tell all her friends and teachers that I was her Mommy over and over again! I must admit that 2 1/2 hours was plenty for me. I really don't know how her teachers do what they do everyday. Teachers do not get paid enough! I am so thankful for her teachers and also how good Tyla is doing so far this year in her new class!Tyla at the petting zoo!
These two guys were fighting like crazy! They were standing on two feet trying to knock each other down. the kids all had to get out of the way. Tyla thought it was the funniest thing ever!
Check out these Turtles! The class got to feed them, but Tyla was totally freaked out and didn't participate in that one.

Rodeo

Last weekend the rodeo in Vegas started. Jeff has got our entire family hooked on watching it (my favorite is the women's barrel racing) and checking out the cute cowboys (there is something so cute about cowboys in their tight Wranglers and boots!)Anyways, we were all sitting there watching the bulls and Jeff says he can't wait for Tyla to get home because this has been there "thing" since Tyla was a baby. Tyla gets home and she looks at the TV and gets this huge smile on her face and immediately runs and sits on Jeff's lap to watch the rodeo.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving was a little different I am not going to lie. I really do have so much to be grateful for, I really do.

This past week has been hard. I am not sure why? Really there has been nothing much different then every other week, but I have seemed to gain that feeling of lost and alone.

I feel unhappy of how things have been at home lately. Every evening I feel like I just want to run away or drive in circles in my car alone! Is that weird or what?

So as I have reflected this holiday weekend on what I am grateful for besides the obvious. Today I am THANKFUL for the power to CHANGE. If there are things in your life that are bringing you down...work on it, set goals and change it.

This year Thanksgiving was spent at Jeff's parents house. It was a great time and so good to see everyone from his side of the family.

Can you believe

This big brown eyed boy is Mine?! All mine!I love this boy so much!

After having two girls and then a boy WOW! What a difference! I am loving this! Ryker has brought soooo much fun and laughter into our little family! He is so stinkin smart, full of energy and so lovable! Ryker is 18 months and I just want to freeze time. I love him so much and am having so much fun with him. I don't want him to grow up. He is my baby!

Daddy's Trip!

This weekend Jeff and his friends planned a quick over night trip up North with the kids. They packed up and loaded up the rangers and they went scouting for Elk (this is very important you know!) Kenzi was so excited I can't even explain it! After a long day of driving around on rangers looking for elk they headed to Sugars cabin for the night. Kenzi was beat! She had a blast and instantly made a new BFF (Devon) They got to the cabin, showered and ordered Red Devil Pizza and went to bed! "The Kid Gang"
Kenzi and her new friend Devon!

Sunday morning they woke up had a great breakfast and were waiting for it to heat up so they could take the kids on one last ride in the woods, but it never heated up and the kids didn't seem to care. They were busy opening their candy shop (sound familiar Linds?)and just playing at the cabin while in the meantime the Dad's were watching the Cardinals Game! Once the game was finally over (Cards lost :( they headed home. Sounds like a great weekend!

P.S......Ryker stayed home with me, but next year he will be ready! Tyla didn't get to go, but when she came home Sunday night from her Dad's and heard from Kenzi that Daddy took her to sugars cabin and all the fun things they did it has been nonstop talk from Tyla. She keeps saying " I want to go Daddy" " I want to go to the cabin" So I am thinking next time all 3 kids Jeff! Welcome to my world!

Thank you Daddy's for taking the kiddo's! They loved it!

Halloween 2010- Trunk or Treat!

This year was the first time our ward did Trunk or Treat at the church parking lot (at least since we have lived here) I thought it was great! The kids were with all their friends in the neighborhood, school or church. It worked out perfect for us because Tyla was scared as she is every year. She HATES Halloween! Too many scary costumes and Masks. Poor Girl! Anyway, we got to the church and I could feel Tyla squeezing my hand so tight and she looked at me and said "It's not scary Mom right?" I calmly told her no and we walked past my friend Amy's car and they could tell she was a little hesitant about the surrounding she was in and they asked if she would like to sit in the car and help pass out candy and she happily jumped in the car! It was a security blanket for her to be in the car. She did so good and even when scary people came by she turned her head and closed her eyes until they were gone, and my dear friend Amy tried to keep all the scary looking ones away. Thank you Amy!

Later on Jeff decided to walk Ryker home...he was getting tired. Then not long after Tyla asked to go home so I took her home and my little party animal Kenzi stayed with her friends Gracie and Sassy! It was a fun night!

Have I ever told you how much I love my neighborhood? It is so much fun and filled with great families!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!Tyla AKA Dorothy, Ryker AKA Sexy Lil Devil and MacKenzi AKA Sweet Bee

Pumpkin Carving

Every Halloween we usually have my parents over for dinner before Trick or Treating or we will stop by their house so they can see our kids in their costumes. This is a perk of living so close to each other! This year was a little different though. My Parents went on a company cruise through my Moms Insurance Agency and they didn't get home until late Halloween night so my Parents had all the Cousins come over before they left to carve pumpkins. It was tons of fun for the kids. I was inside most of the time trying to keep Ryker away from all the knives and the pumpkin seeds he was trying to eat or choke on! Jeff carved all our kids pumpkins. They turned out great! I feel so blessed to live so close to my parents and have them be such a huge part of my kids lives. Thanks for the fun night Nana and Papa!Josh Tanner Madison MacKenzie Tyla and Ryker

Averie's Army

This is Averie, she has type 1 Diabetes. Fortunately Averie has amazing parents who are doing everything they can to find a cure for this disease. There lives are filled with counting carbs, blood sugars, insulin, blood, needles, test strips, sharps containers and so on. Averie endures more pokes than a pin cushion. As a Mother my heart goes out to them. I can't even imagine doing this everyday.

Every year they do the JDRF Walk at Tempe Town Lake. We were lucky to be there this year again and be part of Averie's Army Team. We had 60 walkers this year! Yay!

The kids were such troopers and didn't complain the entire time.

I love doing this each year and letting our friends know that yes we may not know what it is like to have a child with this disease, but we are here to support you. Lets find a cure!
