End of Season

MacKenzie had her last Cheer Competition for the season and she did great! Her Team competed against about 15 other teams and they took 3rd place! This was our first year doing cheer and competing and I was very skeptical and nervous at first but I think this is perfect for MacKenzie and she had so much fun doing it! Go Desert Devils!!

Addiction

I was at my friend Kami's making jewelry until midnight last night! I think my husband might be sending me to rehab for this bad addiction I have!

Celebration

On Friday Ryker turned one!!! Man time flies! We had a little family birthday party at our home and had hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and dips, salads, treats and the best cupcakes ever! It was so much fun!

Easter Sunday Recap

Easter was so crazy this year! I think I spent most my time in the car going back and forth! It started with meeting Jeff's family at Alta Mesa Country Club for brunch, but we didn't make it even a foot in the door when Tyla saw the Easter Bunny and FREAKED... I mean freaked out (poor girl) all though at the time I was thinking poor me. Jeff told me to just go in with the other kids and he will try to calm Tyla down ( I love him by the way ) Time past and Tyla was not about to go in. The club staff even said we can eat outside where there was no sight of the Easter Bunny, but Tyla was done and there was nothing we could do to change her mind. I didn't want to make the rest of the family suffer so I took Tyla and went to my parents house (have I ever mentioned how awesome my parents are?) as I was driving there I cried and cried and asked the stupid "why me" question. I finally got hold of my tears got to my parents house, walked in the door and then I couldn't say a word, but just sobbed! Ugh...I like to hide my tears and play the strong parent role! Anyways, there were alot of great hugs and then I left Tyla and went back to Alta Mesa to join the rest of my family ugh...I hate that Tyla wasn't there, she looked so cute and I looked at other families who in my eyes were just perfect and I envied them. I hate when I do this!

Every year there is a big Easter Egg Hunt and Kenzi won a board game she was super happy about...Go Kenz! Here are a few pictures that the Hubby took!

Run Forrest Run!

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on my "running"

I am finally at a point where I LOVE to run even though it is still very hard I really look forward to it!

Today I ran what I thought was 5 miles, but when I got back my brother had me tell him my route and we went to this cool site called mapmyrun.com and turns out it was just barely over 4 miles. It is a fun site. I was playing around with it figuring out where I could run and how many miles it would be.

Marathons in the near future? I am afraid not!

Now if I could just tackle my diet!

"SPECIAL" Month

April is Autism Awareness Month. This holds a special place in my heart due to the fact of having a child on the Autism Spectrum.

This month I have set a personal goal to learn and educate myself even more on Autism. To finish all my great inspiring books about autism that are on my night stand collecting dust, to get more involved with Tyla's therapies and have more patience with her therapist and really try to listen to them even when I don't always agree on there ways and to finally return calls and emails of people who have questions.


Thank you Tyla for teaching me patience I never knew I had. Thank you for making me a stronger and better person, and thank you for that HUGE smile of yours that puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart. I love you so much!
