Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving was a little different I am not going to lie. I really do have so much to be grateful for, I really do.

This past week has been hard. I am not sure why? Really there has been nothing much different then every other week, but I have seemed to gain that feeling of lost and alone.

I feel unhappy of how things have been at home lately. Every evening I feel like I just want to run away or drive in circles in my car alone! Is that weird or what?

So as I have reflected this holiday weekend on what I am grateful for besides the obvious. Today I am THANKFUL for the power to CHANGE. If there are things in your life that are bringing you down...work on it, set goals and change it.

This year Thanksgiving was spent at Jeff's parents house. It was a great time and so good to see everyone from his side of the family.

Can you believe

This big brown eyed boy is Mine?! All mine!I love this boy so much!

After having two girls and then a boy WOW! What a difference! I am loving this! Ryker has brought soooo much fun and laughter into our little family! He is so stinkin smart, full of energy and so lovable! Ryker is 18 months and I just want to freeze time. I love him so much and am having so much fun with him. I don't want him to grow up. He is my baby!

Daddy's Trip!

This weekend Jeff and his friends planned a quick over night trip up North with the kids. They packed up and loaded up the rangers and they went scouting for Elk (this is very important you know!) Kenzi was so excited I can't even explain it! After a long day of driving around on rangers looking for elk they headed to Sugars cabin for the night. Kenzi was beat! She had a blast and instantly made a new BFF (Devon) They got to the cabin, showered and ordered Red Devil Pizza and went to bed! "The Kid Gang"
Kenzi and her new friend Devon!

Sunday morning they woke up had a great breakfast and were waiting for it to heat up so they could take the kids on one last ride in the woods, but it never heated up and the kids didn't seem to care. They were busy opening their candy shop (sound familiar Linds?)and just playing at the cabin while in the meantime the Dad's were watching the Cardinals Game! Once the game was finally over (Cards lost :( they headed home. Sounds like a great weekend!

P.S......Ryker stayed home with me, but next year he will be ready! Tyla didn't get to go, but when she came home Sunday night from her Dad's and heard from Kenzi that Daddy took her to sugars cabin and all the fun things they did it has been nonstop talk from Tyla. She keeps saying " I want to go Daddy" " I want to go to the cabin" So I am thinking next time all 3 kids Jeff! Welcome to my world!

Thank you Daddy's for taking the kiddo's! They loved it!

Halloween 2010- Trunk or Treat!

This year was the first time our ward did Trunk or Treat at the church parking lot (at least since we have lived here) I thought it was great! The kids were with all their friends in the neighborhood, school or church. It worked out perfect for us because Tyla was scared as she is every year. She HATES Halloween! Too many scary costumes and Masks. Poor Girl! Anyway, we got to the church and I could feel Tyla squeezing my hand so tight and she looked at me and said "It's not scary Mom right?" I calmly told her no and we walked past my friend Amy's car and they could tell she was a little hesitant about the surrounding she was in and they asked if she would like to sit in the car and help pass out candy and she happily jumped in the car! It was a security blanket for her to be in the car. She did so good and even when scary people came by she turned her head and closed her eyes until they were gone, and my dear friend Amy tried to keep all the scary looking ones away. Thank you Amy!

Later on Jeff decided to walk Ryker home...he was getting tired. Then not long after Tyla asked to go home so I took her home and my little party animal Kenzi stayed with her friends Gracie and Sassy! It was a fun night!

Have I ever told you how much I love my neighborhood? It is so much fun and filled with great families!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!Tyla AKA Dorothy, Ryker AKA Sexy Lil Devil and MacKenzi AKA Sweet Bee

Pumpkin Carving

Every Halloween we usually have my parents over for dinner before Trick or Treating or we will stop by their house so they can see our kids in their costumes. This is a perk of living so close to each other! This year was a little different though. My Parents went on a company cruise through my Moms Insurance Agency and they didn't get home until late Halloween night so my Parents had all the Cousins come over before they left to carve pumpkins. It was tons of fun for the kids. I was inside most of the time trying to keep Ryker away from all the knives and the pumpkin seeds he was trying to eat or choke on! Jeff carved all our kids pumpkins. They turned out great! I feel so blessed to live so close to my parents and have them be such a huge part of my kids lives. Thanks for the fun night Nana and Papa!Josh Tanner Madison MacKenzie Tyla and Ryker
